What is VacuTherapy™ and MediCupping™ Therapy?

VacuTherapy™ and MediCupping™ Therapy a modern form of cupping therapy which utilizes glass and/or plastic cups and a vacuum machine to create suction on the body surface. These cups are moved over the skin using gliding, shaking, popping and rotating techniques while gently pulling up on the cup, and are parked for a short time to facilitate joint mobilization or soft tissue release. This suction can reach deep into the soft tissue or can work superficially to pull inflammation and cellular debris toward the surface so that the skin and lymphatic system can readily eliminate them.

One of the most amazing aspects of this technique is the “separation” that the vacuum produces in tissue layers. This enables water absorption and renewed blood flow to undernourished and dehydrated tissue, which is invaluable in pre- and post-surgery treatments. It is becoming evident that separation of fused, congested soft tissue and increase in tissue function can be a catalyst for change in many current health conditions.

CUPPING MASSAGE

It’s the opposite of traditional massage where pressure is applied to the skin.  Instead, cupping is a form of negative pressure therapy which lifts the tissues.  By creating suction and negative pressure, cupping massage is used to soften tight muscles and tone attachments, loosen adhesions and lift connective tissue, bring hydration and blood flow to body tissues, and drain excess fluids and toxins by opening lymphatic pathways.

Cupping massage is versatile and can easily be modified to accomplish a range of techniques, from lymphatic drainage to deep tissue and trigger point release.

It creates a negative (tension) pressure which:

  • Passively stretches tissue resulting in increased ROM

  • Increases blood supply/heat to area treated

  • Increases fluid movement which assists in recovery (ie. decreased edema)

  • Increases nutrient-rich blood supply to injured area

Myofascial Cupping (MC) is a unique treatment that uses suction to lift tissues as the cup is moved to decompress underlying tissue. The cups come in various sizes depending on the treatment area needed. Four theories exist on how MC produces changes to soft tissue mobility:

1.    The stimulation of fibroblast activation within the connective tissue to permit optimal retention of water;

2.    The disruption of excessive collagen cross linkages (ie. scar tissue);

3.    The thixotropic-like nature of connective tissue which is described by the Rolfing technique as something that it is capable of changing its state (ie. dense thickened, to a more fluid form);

4.    Activation of mechanoreceptors which is stimulated by the application of external force that causes the nervous system to respond.

Lymphatic MediCupping Vacuum Therapies have proven to be incredibly effective approaches to face and body contouring services. Excess weight is often not fat but a stagnant overloaded lymphatic system trapping toxins and excess fluids in the body.

This amazing modality is revolutionizing the way we look at detox, healthy weight loss, cellulite reduction and body sculpting. The results are phenomenal, immediate and long lasting.

Vacuum therapies are a safe, highly effective and non invasive treatment to open and drain the lymphatic system, release restrictions and shift the polarity and pH of the tissue to assist the body in re-establishing homeostasis. Studies have shown that 78% of stagnant lymph can be pushed back into circulation with lymphatic drainage. This simple treatment has truly impressed those who experience it’s subtle power.

SOLID BLOAT

Solid bloat are minute layers of dehydrated stagnant lymph, old blood and cellular debris that can accumulate in the body over time and appear as excess weight, abdominal bloating, cellulite, love handles and those stubborn areas that don't respond to dieting and exercise. Vacuum therapies help promote cellular cleansing and support the immune system by clearing the filter and purification system of the body.

New research reveals that 80% of overweight women have sluggish lymphatic systems. Excess weight is often not fat but an overloaded lymphatic system trapping toxins and excess fluids in the body. MediCupping Vacuum Therapies are a holistic approach to support self healing and can reverse 25 years off the body for vitality and radiant beauty naturally.
